It offers a wonderful, economical holiday for families, also hill–walkers, fishing enthusiasts, nature lovers, hermits, spiritual seekers of all hues, writers, artists, those who just want a rest & of course, honeymooners!
It is isolated but – if you have plenty of energy and enthusiasm – it is accessible, and is some distance away from the rest of the local community. We have stunning panoramic views & abundant wildlife including dolphins, whales, porpoises, sea eagles, golden eagles, seals, otters & many more land & sea birds that can be seen here. Also, there is excellent fishing from the adjacent shore and many lovely walks locally.
The Bothy is furnished, comfortable & cosy all year round, it has a fully equipped kitchen with all cooking utensils provided, a large double sink with hot & cold running water, a gas cooker, a multi–fuel stove that provides the hot water & a bath. The toilet is very basic and housed outside. A small solar power system provides light & electricity. There is a full mobile/ broadband signal here as well.
Tom's Bothy is deceptively spacious & can comfortably sleep up to 5, possibly more. The prices are listed above. All fuel & bedding are included in the cost. The bothy is private and not a hostel. Sorry, no dogs.
Fresh organic vegetables, salads, fruit & herbs are available seasonally from our garden & we also sell organic home baked bread, jam & eggs.
